Ravishers

Ravishers have quickly established themselves as one of most infectiously dynamic pop acts exploding from the Northwest these days. Their sound is both intelligent and mature, with an instantly classic swagger, reminiscent of fellow Portlanders Spoon and even Elliot Smith. Singer-songwriter, Dominic Castillo studied jazz at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he discovered and explored an undeniable draw toward pop music. Ravishers as a whole combine fascinating lyrics with unusual and sometimes dark melodies, painting a unique landscape that that draws you in for more.

The band’s sound has been compared to Elvis Costello, Doves, Franz Ferdinand and The Strokes, to name a few. Ravishers have a growing and dedicated following that spans Southern California to Seattle, where they have established a reputation for unbelievably intense live performances.
