Friday Mileʼs new release, Good Luck Studio, reveals a truly accessible pop album built on ravishing guy-girl harmonies, contagious melodies, and a vocal chemistry that few artists today can deliver. Reminiscent of The Magic Numbers, Rilo Kiley, and even Fleetwood Mac, these playfully romantic alt-country tunes are a must add to winter playlists and iPods alike. Singer-songwriters Jace Krause and Hannah Williams met in a music theory class at Pacific Lutheran University where they mostly cracked jokes from opposite sides of the room. Three years later the two reconnected amidst a random encounter at Seattleʼs Crocodile Cafe. They met up after the show and stayed up all night playing songs for each other at Williamʼs apartment. He fell in love with her voice and she adored his songs. So they formed a band and called it Friday Mile. Fast forward a couple of years and youʼll find the band has worn some deep grooves in Interstate 5, touring small clubs and bars along the West Coast. In 2006, Friday Mile released their first record, Love and Gasoline (EP), which was admired throughout the Northwest and earned significant attention from Seattleʼs KEXP.
