A Subordinate Wiggle to the Bigger Wiggle

If you’ve never seen Starfucker in a live setting, it’s easy to scratch your head and wonder what all the fuss is about. I for one could be caught rolling my eyes every time I read how much the Willy Week loves the synth-pop trio. That was before New Years’ Eve

It was a sold out show at Backspace, and it was a party atmosphere. There was no devision between the band and the audience. In two words, it was uncontrolled chaos. About thirty minutes into the set, someone came crashing down on Shawn Glassford’s keyboard, so for the rest of the night it was lopsided and probably heavily damaged.

This was not an isolated incident, but rather than pack up and leave as many bands would have done, they embraced the pandemonium, only pausing once to let everyone know that their equipment was breaking due to the chaos. It was some of the greatest fun I’ve ever had, and there was only one place  I would rather have been that night.

It’s for all of these reasons that I implore you and your lover to go see them at the Wonder Ballroom this St. Valentine’s Day. And please, buy your tickets in advance because you can bet your left boot that this one will sell out.

THE VALENTINES DAY SHOW AT THE WONDER BALLROOM WAS FANTASTIC. Josh is my best friends cousin so her brother and fiance were on the VIP list, so they went in, got drinking pre-used drinking bracelets from Josh and brought them back out to us. They’re so GREAT live! Fantastically fantastic. I got a kiss from Josh and he signed my CD and shirt. Even though I’m single(and keeping it that way) it was a wonderful show. It was also Oregon’s birthday! Starfucker rocks! See them! Move to Portland! LOVEITFOREVER.
