I’d like to see some statistics about what people did with their government stimulus checks. Apparently, most tax paying citizens of the good ol’ USA received a check for $600 to $1200, courtesy of the Bush Administration, intended to help pump up our Nation’s economy. Now, what I want to know is what people did with them.
Apparently, these economic stimulus checks had a big impact on the porn industry. For more on this, give Tim O’Leary’s blog a read:
The Bizzy Life: Did the economic stimulus package give you an erection?
So Tim’s little article got me thinking… I wonder how many people spent their stimulus checks on things such as porn, booze, gambling, illicit sex, guns and other less socially appropriate and illegal goods and services VERSUS those that spent their stimulus checks on what are widely considered to be good deeds, such as philanthropy, community support, charity, non-profit organizations, tithing to the church, feeding hungry people, etc.?
Can someone please send me a pie chart? Or do we even really want to know?
Please, leave me a comment and share your thoughts.
