If you’ll be around Portland this weekend, there will be no better place to be than The Wonder Ballroom for the much anticipated record release show for P-town’s own, Derby.
Supported by their friends Climber and Crosstide, this will have the makings of a family affair. Rumor has it that Derby will have as many as 20 of Portland’s best artists joining them randomly throughout the night, making for one crazy, fun evening of melodic, indie rock. Go early and grab a refreshment at Cafe Wonder (downstairs) and whatever you do, don’t leave without getting your own copy of Derby’s brand spanking new record, Posters Fade. Without question, this album is making my top 5 for the year and will likely put up a fight for #1. Yes – it’s THAT good.
Here’s a little promo video the Derby boys released today, a little buzz reel for the record:
This sweet little video promo is courtesy of my friend, Kyle Oddson - whom I commonly refer to as one of the best indie photographer/filmographer’s around. Mr. Oddson is also a good looking gentlemen whom rides a motorcycle and keep good friends. If you need a rock video, a band photo shoot, or an enjoyable evening on the town, Kyle’s your man.
I posted some images from the show on my blog:

Also included your quote about Derby’s new CD, that is some nice writing.
